CoAbode is a national organization with members in your area and our service is free. Our program is about matching single mothers so they can share a home. If you want to find another single mom to live with, so the two of you can help each other, you need to register as a member on our website and do a search for other moms in your area. Our service connects moms in ‘need’
of a house to connect with another mom in ‘need’ and then you get to know each other and go in search of a home to share. Sometimes you can find a member who already has a home to share.
Go to http://www.CoAbode.org and from the home page menu click on “become a member” to register and fill out a profile. Once you have filled out a profile you will receive an ‘email confirmation notice’from us to verify your email
address. You can then login into the ‘members area’ and do a search. If you find other moms you’d like to contact about house-sharing, you can email them using your own personal CoAbode mailbox from which to send and receive
emails from other moms looking to house share.
CoAbode provides a venue for single moms to connect. You must be pro-active
that means doing a search and contacting each mom that looks compatible to you. If you wait for others to contact you you are less likely to find a match.

Below are a few answers to other questions you can also find more information by clicking on the ‘Members FAQ’ from the left menu in the ‘member’s area’.
How do I search for single moms?
In the ‘members section’ click ‘Search Members’ from the menu at left. Enter your zip code AND THE MILE RANGE you would like to search. We recommend about a 30 mile radius; keep in mind that other moms may be willing to move to your neighborhood, even if you do not want to go 30 miles from your present home.
How do I contact other moms?
To contact other moms, do a search in your area and click on each username
to read the corresponding profile. At the top of each profile, click on
contact, which will take you to a form where you can email that member
through our private email system. No other members gets your email address until you decide.
How will I be notified of responses?
When another CoAbode member sends you a message, a notification will be sent to your regular email address. You should then log on to your CoAbode mailbox to read the message. However, please check your CoAbode mailbox regularly (at least once a week), even if you do not receive notice that a message has been sent. You access your private email box from the left menu ‘my email box’
How do I respond to an email?
When you receive notification that a message has been sent, it will include a link to your CoAbode mailbox. Click on that link to log in and read and respond to your messages. You may also log in directly to your mailbox from the CoAbode website. PLEASE respond to all emails. We provide a ‘Courtesy Decline’ if a mom contacts you who does not seem compatible to you.
How do I make changes to my profile?
Go to the ‘members area’ and click on ‘edit my profile’.
